Tolima, a region located in the middle of Colombia and is celebrated for its high-quality coffee production. This area offers a distinctive microclimate ideal for cultivating coffee set in the middle of Andean mountains. The elevation in Tolima plays a vital role in defining the uniqueness of its coffee, with farms generally found at altitudes ranging from 4,000 to 6,500 feet above sea level. Such high altitudes contribute to denser and more flavorful beans because of is slower maturations.  Tolima’s coffee culture has been deeply rooted in sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices.  Producing great coffee while preserving biodiversity and natural beauty of the region is what the local farmers are committed to. A harmonious balance between agriculture and nature that not only benefits the environment but enhances the quality of the coffee produced in the area. Supremo beans and Excelso beans often are harvested from the same tree, but they are sorted by size.
